Test Optional Admission

At Rollins, we’re all about the big picture. Although test scores are useful, they don’t always tell the full story of a person’s ability or accomplishments. Our holistic approach to admission means applicants can apply without submitting SAT or ACT scores through our Test Optional Admission. Rollins has been a Test Optional school for nearly 15 years. For the past few years, approximately half of all applicants have chosen to apply without submitting standardized test scores. Candidates selecting this option are evaluated holistically, with special emphasis on academic performance, rigor of curriculum, leadership and motivation.

If I apply Test Optional do I ever have to send my test scores?

During the summer, enrolling Test Optional students are asked to send their scores confidentially to the Dean of Admission and AVP of Enrollment for the purpose of ongoing research about the relationship between test scores and academic performance. These scores are never included in the student's official college record. To make the research meaningful, enrolling students are strongly encouraged to send their scores upon request.
