Application
A completed Application for Graduate Admission with a $50 non-refundable application fee. Credit card, check, or money order made payable to Rollins College.
Transcripts
Official transcripts from the bachelor’s- or master’s-degree-granting college or university institution. An undergraduate GPA of 3.0+ is recommended. Official electronic transcripts may be sent to holtadmission@rollins.edu
Resume & Recommendations
A current resume reflecting current position and/or volunteer experience as well as two letters of recommendation are required to be submitted via the online application process.

Preparing Your Application Essay
Your application includes a statement of three to five pages clarifying your expectations from graduate work. This essay should be typed and double-spaced and submitted via a Word or PDF document through the online application. You should address the following prompts:
- Why is Rollins’ Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling program a good fit for you and your career goals?
- How would people who know you well describe your interpersonal style? Please be specific.
- Rollins’ Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling program and the American Counseling Association (ACA) are known for valuing diversity and social justice for oppressed groups. How will you begin the process of reflecting on and addressing any personal attitudes, beliefs, assumptions, or feelings that may prevent you from working with a client or a colleague holding an identity or a social status different than your own?
- Counselor wellness and psychological fitness are crucial to effective counseling. Discuss your current practice of self-care or wellness and how you believe this practice might be useful to you in a demanding graduate program and in the mental health counseling profession.
Additional Requirements for International Students
We require all applicants whose first language is not English to adequately demonstrate English competency as part of the application process. Students may demonstrate competency by submitting scores from TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language), IELTS (International English Language Testing System), or DET (Duolingo English Test). To indicate adequate proficiency, you must score 550 (PBT), 213 (CBT), 80 (IBT) on the (TOEFL), an overall band score of a 6.5 or higher on the (IELTS), or 120 or higher on the DET.
Any student who submits a foreign college/university transcript is responsible for having these transcripts sent through an evaluation service for translation. Josef Silny and Associates, Inc., WES, and SpanTran through their dedicated Rollins portal are the ones that Rollins uses for evaluation services.
